The Challenge of Stress.

At a time in our lives when inconsistency is the only consistency, we need to remember that the health of our minds and bodies is of the utmost importance! Please take care of your health, both physically and mentally and above everything else continue to be healthy. Don't use the latest 2020 issues as an excuse to not look after yourselves. I know, easier said that done sometimes, especially if you already have pre-existing mental health issue. This is why it is important more than ever to find that destresser in your life.


High stress levels can make you feel a whole range of emotions including withdrawn, distracted, irritable, overwhelmed, just to name a few. It can lead to forgetfulness and eventually burning out. Being in a constant state of stress can affect your ability to make positive changes in your life.


It can be difficult to implement a major change in your life when stressed, such as meal prep, exercise and sleep. It is almost as if because you are so stressed this is the last thing on your mind. We have all fallen victim to it.

Find your ‘destresser’, it can include some of the following:

  1. Meditation

  2. Reading

  3. Epsom salt baths

  4. Chatting to friends on the phone

  5. Put on some music and dance it out!!


Identifying your triggers and focus on how to deal with them effectively and thoughtfully. Set clear priorities and if you do come across a setback, remember that tomorrow is a new day. Work towards having a growth mindset (fail, learn, grow).
