Clarifying goals 📝

Whenever I ask a new client what their goals are the most common responses are:

  1. Lose weight

  2. Get in shape

  3. Build muscle



There is generally an underlying reason as to why one would like to achieve the above mentioned goals, such as:

  1. Losing weight to feel more confident, or to improve a medical condition

  2. Getting in shape to increase energy levels which allows one to be more active and social

  3. Building muscle to finally be able to complete an unassisted pull up, or squat ones bodyweight


To ensure your goals are achieved you need to ensure they are specific and well defined. The more meaningful a goal, the more motivation one has to achieve said goal and keep you on the right track.


Use the following questions as a guide next time you write down you goals:

  1. What are my goals?

  2. Why are these goals important to me?

  3. What am I willing to do right now to reach my goals?

  4. How will this impact me if I do not achieve my goals?
