Life lessons - failure.

I came across this article someone shared on LinkedIn today and when reading the article it just made good sense. CEO Sara Blakely talks about what her father asked her weekly at the dinner table.

"What did you fail at this week?"

Sara’s father was not interested in her successes but her failures. He then made her reflect on the things she failed at and high-fived her! He showed her that failing is ok! “My dad taught me that failing simply just leads you to the next great thing."

We can all take away a great lesson from this. It is human nature for us to feeling negative about a failure, however you’re not the first person and you’re sure as hell not the last person to fail.

Failure means that something is not working and we need to improve the formula. Failure allows you to move forward towards having a growth mindset, which will teach you to look at your failures in a positive way, rather than a negative way so that you can learn from them and keep moving forward to reach your goal.
